About Boston Common

Boston Common is the oldest park in the country and the starting point of the Freedom Trail.
Families can enjoy the famous Frog Pond in the summer months, and in winter the pond becomes a giant ice-skating rink, where you can also rent skates! This along with the amazing playground and the 50 acres in size makes Boston Common one of the favorite parks to visit the entire family!
Boston Common is the anchor for the Emerald Necklace, a system of connected parks that winds through many of Boston’s neighborhoods.
Don’t hesitate to visit this amazing historic park and have a great time!
