About Boston Children’s Museum

Gather the family and visit one of the largest museums in the world! The Boston Children’s Museum started in 1913 and focuses on interactive and hands-on learning to boost kids’ creativity, curiosity, and imagination.
Children and families will enjoy exploring exhibits on culture, science, health & fitness, environmental consciousness, and arts. You’ll discover exciting and educational exhibits like the Art Lab, Arthur’s World, Boston Black, Bubbles, Construction Zone, Countdown to Kindergarten, Explore-a-Saurus, Fantastic Forts, Japanese House, Johnny’s Workbench, and much more!
Visitors can also take part in activities and programs about science, technology, engineering, art & math, performing arts, reading, different cultures, visual arts, family workshops, tech kitchen, and health and wellness.
Additionally, the Boston Children’s Museum holds impressive collections of Natural History, Global Culture, Native American, Japanese items, Dolls and Dollhouses, with over 50,000 items! It’s rare for a children’s museum to have such a vast collection.
